Education at Oasis extends far beyond the classroom. Students are shaped not only by what they learn, but by who they are becoming.
Every chapel service, classroom discussion, leadership opportunity, service project, and school event contributes to our mission of developing young men and women who know Christ, pursue excellence, serve others, and lead with integrity.
Student life is intentionally designed to cultivate spiritual growth, meaningful relationships, personal responsibility, and joyful participation in our school community.
Oasis Christian Academy educates students all the way through 12th grade — and high schoolers can graduate with a real head start already built in. A key part of that is Dual Enrollment: students can take college-level classes through Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) that count for both college and high school credit, earning real college credit before they even graduate.
Students interested in a career-focused path can pursue Technical School classes instead, working toward industry certifications and hands-on career training. We help every high school student think through their options and choose the completion path that fits where God is leading them.
Our graduation requirements are designed to uphold academic rigor while giving students room to explore their interests and passions, through a balanced curriculum, community service, and extracurricular involvement — preparing students for whatever comes next: college, career, or ministry.
Chapel reflects our commitment to Christ-centered education. Students gather regularly for worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and opportunities to respond to what God is doing in their lives — encouraging students in their personal faith while reinforcing the biblical principles taught throughout the school day.
Parents should understand that OCA is unapologetically Christian. Biblical truth is integrated throughout our curriculum, relationships, and school culture. Our desire is not simply external compliance, but authentic transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Academic excellence is important, but it's only one part of a student's education. Our ultimate goal is to help students develop a genuine faith that influences every area of life — and we consider it a privilege to partner with families, who remain the primary spiritual influence in a child's life.

Students are encouraged to lead through humility, responsibility, initiative, and Christlike character. Leadership opportunities are earned through demonstrated character and a willingness to serve others well — and participation may be limited if a student's conduct no longer reflects those expectations.
Throughout the school year, students have opportunities to participate in projects that benefit both our local community and ministry partners — building compassion, responsibility, gratitude, and a heart for serving others.
Trips are selected to support academic objectives, expose students to new experiences, and build community among classmates. Parents receive advance communication on trip details, educational purpose, transportation, permission forms, and any costs. Students are expected to represent OCA with maturity and respect throughout.
School traditions and special events create lasting memories while strengthening our community — including Spirit Days, holiday celebrations, fine arts performances, academic showcases, family events, awards ceremonies, and graduation celebrations.
As Oasis continues to grow, we're intentionally building traditions that celebrate faith, excellence, community, and school spirit. We invite every family to participate in the life of our school and help strengthen the culture we're building together.
As Oasis Christian Academy continues to grow, we anticipate expanding opportunities for students to discover and develop their unique gifts beyond the classroom. Program offerings may vary from year to year based on student interest, enrollment, staffing, and available resources — but our vision remains the same: meaningful opportunities on a strong Christ-centered foundation.
Your student can pursue their passions both here at Oasis Christian Academy and on the field at their local public middle or high school. Oasis does not yet have an established athletics program of our own — in the meantime, we encourage families to get involved through local options such as the YMCA, Pop Warner football, and other community sports leagues.
Florida law ensures that students enrolled in private schools have the right to participate in interscholastic extracurricular activities — including athletics and clubs — at the public school they are zoned to attend. This is a powerful benefit that allows your child to enjoy a Christ-centered education while still pursuing competitive public school sports.
What You Need to Know
This right is secured by Florida Statute § 1006.15 (the Craig Dickinson Act). Your student's eligibility is protected by law and regulated through the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Students generally participate at the public middle or high school where they are zoned to attend based on your residence. Families interested in this option should contact that school's athletic department directly for registration deadlines and requirements.
